I totally agree as well. Wanderlei may be a little on the short side for light heavy, but I don' t know how he could cut down to 185. He's just too stocky. Hell, Rashad Evans would have an easier time cutting to 185 than Wanderlei would. Jake Rossen is taking cheap shots. Silva has lost to three top calibur opponents (one while sick with a bad fever), but he's beat a hell of a lot more than have beaten him. I think he was over-hyped (Pride was notorious for that), but he is still one of the best. Losing a decision to a highly focused Chuck Liddell is nothing to snear at. Even though Chuck had control of the fight, he couldn't finish Silva. That says something.
On The campaign for Wanderlei Silva to move to middleweight

Machida is the best fighter who I never want to see fight again. He'd probably be able to beat everyone else in all of MMA right now just because he puts the other fighters to sleep with his hypnotically dull performance. Even exciting fighters are rendered boring by him.

Chuck Liddell looked like he was back to his best performance (and had even gained a few tricks) last night, if you ask me. Usually, he was toying with opponents, but he was all business against Silva. Great fight. And he threw a backfist against Jardine, but I recall that it didn't really connect. I think Silva didn't go after him on the ground because he thought Chuck just slipped. I bet he's kicking himself for not following up on that.

GSP is just fucking awesome. When he was using his chest to slam Hughes' face into the canvas, I was laughing my ass off. That was creative fighting at it's best! You're right, GSP's head is GSP's only real opponent at this point. He made Hughes look like a weak wrestler. I didn't expect that. I'd kinda like to see him go up and fight Anderson Silva, though. That'll never happen.
On Sam Caplan's complete breakdown of UFC 79

I live and work in the Quad Cities, and though I've never personally met Matt Hughes, I know plenty of people who have hung out with him and trained with him. Everyone says he's a total dick, though everyone respects his fighting skills. If Hughes felt like he wasn't getting enough attention at MFS, it's because no one could stand being around him long enough to really help him. The same thing will probably happen everywhere he goes. No one at MFS and few in the Quad Cities will miss him, trust me.
On <a href="http://SamCaplan.proelite.com/75433" title="View Hughes says Serra getting the "easy way out"">Hughes says Serra getting the "easy way out"

I think you're right, Serra will be out for quite a while. I really hate that. I think Serra had finally gotten to the top of his game. I had him picked to beat Hughes and GSP again. He had the potential to be a dominant champ. I hope he can fully recover.
On UFC steps up in a big way with Hughes vs. St. Pierre III
